Longtime community advocate and proven leader launches campaign focused on affordability, infrastructure, and transparent governance.

Courtney Bermudez, is deeply rooted in the St. Petersburg community. She is committed to advocating for local residents and community organizing. These experiences have led her to run for City Council in District 2. Bermudez enters the race with a clear message: District 2 deserves a representative with real community experience, a record of advocacy, and commitment to transparent and ethical leadership.

“As someone who has lived, worked, and served across St. Pete — from Largo to downtown and North St. Pete — I understand the daily realities our residents face,” Bermudez said. “This campaign is about putting people first, strengthening our neighborhoods, and restoring trust in how our city operates.”

A Record of Community Leadership and Advocacy

Bermudez has built her career solving complex problems throughout her community which has involved partnering with local residents and navigating housing regulation. She currently works as a Licensed Community Association Manager, which involves the management of multimillion‑dollar budgets, infrastructure projects, and ensuring accountability in environments where transparency and ethics are non‑negotiable.

She takes a hands-on approach to leadership, because she understands that her direct involvement builds a connection to the people in the community, ensuring the outcomes of the project meet their needs. She also understands how city systems affect everyday life and the importance of complete sidewalk paths, drainage systems, public safety and neighborhood services.

A Vision for Stronger Infrastructure and Transparent Government

Bermudez’s campaign priorities:

• Infrastructure that keeps pace with growth — prioritize reliable drainage, safer streets, and expanded public transportation to protect neighborhoods and improve daily life.
• Transparent, ethical governance — ensure clear, timely, and honest communication between residents and their district representative; build trust through accountability and open processes.
• Community-centered leadership — put local residents at the decision-making table; strengthen neighborhood networks and support grassroots solutions.
• Advocacy for working families and longtime residents — protect affordability, preserve the character of St. Pete’s historic neighborhoods, and defend policies that keep families rooted in our community.

“District 2 deserves a representative who is present, listens, and seeks to understand,” Bermudez said. “I’m running because I believe in a St. Pete where residents can afford to build stable lives, infrastructure can meet the needs of the local environment, and decision making is ethical and transparent.”

A Stronger, More Rooted Choice for District 2

Bermudez has deep ties to St. Petersburg as a homeowner, community leader, and advocate. Her experiences in this city motivates her commitment to long‑term, resident‑focused solutions. This campaign will reflect her experience working directly with residents, understanding the challenges local residents face, and a genuine dedication to strengthening the city she calls home.

“I’m running to serve the community that has shaped me. I’m running to build a St. Pete that prioritizes my neighbors, the people who make me proud to live here,” Bermudez said.

Bermudez Earns FL NOW Endorsement

St. Petersburg, FL — June 18, 2026 —

Courtney Bermudez is honored to announce her endorsement by the National Organization for Women (NOW), the nation’s largest grassroots feminist organization and a leading force in the fight for gender equality for more than half a century.

NOW has long been at the forefront of advancing women’s rights, Protecting reproductive freedom, combating gender‑based violence, demanding economic justice, defending LGBTQ+ equality, and ensuring every woman has the autonomy, safety, and opportunity she is entitled to. Their work has shaped national policy, empowered survivors, expanded civil rights protections, and mobilized millions of women and allies across the country.

“I am deeply grateful for NOW’s endorsement,” said Bermudez. “When women’s rights are under unprecedented attack, from restrictions on bodily autonomy, to rollbacks in healthcare access and political efforts to silence and punish women for speaking up, this endorsement is a reminder that we must unapologetically stand firm together for women’s equality.”

Women face policies that threaten their freedom, safety, and their right to make decisions about their own bodies and lives. The work of organizations like NOW is essential in pushing back against these harmful trends and ensuring that women’s voices remain protected, and impossible to ignore.

“As someone who has spent my life advocating for fairness, transparency, and the dignity of every person, I am committed to upholding the values that NOW has championed for decades,” Bermudez continued. “Women deserve leaders who will defend their rights, listen to their lived experiences, and fight for a future where equality is not negotiable.”

The endorsement from NOW reflects a shared commitment to advancing gender equity, strengthening protections for women and families, and ensuring that every woman regardless of background, income, or identity thrives in her community.
